The white admiral butterfly is a common sight in my yard this summer. This one got stuck on my porch, so I captured him and took some photos before I set him loose again. Then I used my photos as the reference material for these drawings. Notice that he has only 4 walking legs; he is a member of the brush-footed butterfly family, whose front pair of legs are so small as to be inconspicuous.
